Why do we need PE coating?
The essence of paper is fiber, which has porosity and can penetrate, soften, and lose strength when exposed to water or oil. The main purpose of PE coating is to:
Leak proof: prevents liquids such as water, coffee, juice, etc. from penetrating the paper wall.
Oil proof: prevents the penetration of oil and fat in food.
Sealing: When bonded to the bottom of the cup, the PE layer provides a heat sealed surface to ensure that the bottom of the cup does not leak.
Enhanced insulation: The PE layer and the air layer in between can provide a certain insulation effect, avoiding burning hands when holding hot drinks.
Maintain stiffness: prevent moisture from eroding the paper fibers, thus maintaining the shape and hardness of the paper cup during liquid filling.
