To produce high-quality PE coated fan-shaped sheets, the following parameters must be controlled:
Coating amount: refers to the weight of PE coated per unit area, usually expressed in grams per square meter (gsm).
Too low (such as<15gsm): may result in insufficient waterproofing and a risk of leakage.
Excessive (such as>25gsm): Waste materials, increase costs, and may lead to difficulties in curling and heat sealing.
Conventional range: Single sided coating is usually around 18-22 gsm.
Coating thickness and uniformity: The thickness must be uniform and consistent, and any weak point may cause the cup to leak after containing the liquid.
Peel strength: refers to the bonding force between PE film and paper. Insufficient strength can cause the PE layer to "tear off" from the paper, resulting in delamination of the cup body
